Pucallpa war einst ein im tiefen Regenwald versteckter kleiner Handelsposten am Ucayali, einem Nebenfluss des Amazonas. An seinem Oberlauf liegt die Anlegestelle f\u00fcr die alten Boote und Kanus, die weiter flussaufw\u00e4rts zu mythischen Orten fernab der Zivilisation fahren.<\/p>\n

Diese Umgebung zeichnet sich durch leuchtende Farben, dunkle Ecken, be\u00e4ngstigende Ger\u00e4usche, den Gesang verborgener V\u00f6gel, schreiende Affen und Schwaden summender Insekten aus. Es herrscht eine Stimmung, die nur der Regenwald kennt \u2013 dunkel, feucht und durchdrungen von einer unheimlichen, lebendigen Stille.<\/p>\n

Es ist ein Ort, an dem man in die Vergangenheit eintauchen und sich in tiefer Stille mit den Vorfahren verbinden kann.<\/p>\n

In diesem Raum k\u00f6nnen Menschen dank der \u00fcber Generationen weitergegebenen Traditionen und Erfahrungen mit anderen Welten kommunizieren, die f\u00fcr uns gew\u00f6hnlich unzug\u00e4nglich sind.<\/p>\n

In seinen Arbeiten verschwimmen die Grenzen zwischen Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft. Sie erz\u00e4hlen von alten Erfahrungen, die in unserem Unterbewusstsein weiterleben, und von den Kr\u00e4ften des Regenwaldes, die in der Seele der Menschen nachhallen.<\/p>\n

Miguel malt nicht, was die Augen sehen; er malt, was die Seele f\u00fchlt \u2013 die geheimnisvolle Verbindung zwischen Mensch, Natur und dem Unsagbaren. Seine Figuren sind sowohl intim als auch archetypisch, sie spiegeln die dunklen und hellen Seiten unserer Existenz wider. Dabei verliert er nie die Balance: Die Werke bleiben ehrf\u00fcrchtig gegen\u00fcber den Kr\u00e4ften, die sie inspirieren, und vermeiden oberfl\u00e4chliche Effekte.<\/p>\n

Der Dschungel, der ihn umgibt, wird zur Metapher f\u00fcr das Innere, der Schatten zur Pr\u00e4senz des Verborgenen.<\/p>\n

In einer Zeit, in der der Regenwald unter gro\u00dfer Bedrohung steht und t\u00e4glich der Zerst\u00f6rung weicht, bewahrt Vilca nicht nur Bilder, sondern ganze Welten \u2013 jene unsichtbaren Dimensionen, die f\u00fcr immer erl\u00f6schen, wenn der Wald erstirbt.
