His paintings combine myths, visions and lived history into a visual language of his own. They express the experience of colonial violence as much as a spiritual strength from which resistance, healing and the demand for justice grow.<\/p>\n

He brings his people\u2019s memory and the wounds of the rubber boom into view. His paintings record what official history too often leaves out. This makes his art both political and poetic, while keeping the cultural and historical heritage of his community alive.<\/p>\n
